The Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers

The Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers took place 11-14th December, 2006 in Cape Town, South Africa. The theme of the conference was ‘Access to Quality Education: For the Good of All’. CREATE was represented at the conference:

Professor Keith Lewin discussed issues of Educational Access drawing on CREATE research at the Ministers Conference. The title of his paper was Financing Secondary Education in ommonwealth Countries. Please click here for a copy of the paper.  Professor Keith Lewin also talked about priority areas for educational investment at the Stakeholders Forum. Other CREATE team members will also be present. These include: Dr Pauline Rose, Shireen Motala and Veerle Dieltiens.  CREATE also co-sponsored a review of historical experiences of EFA undertaken by the Council for Education in the Commonwealth with the Commonwealth Secretariat. During the conference Keith was interviewed live on South African breakfast television about the conference theme Access to Quality Education.
